I want to thank you the kindness you showed me when I was on your show. There is something about you as an interviewer (and person) that is very special. You made me feel seen and not judged. I really appreciate that. I have been binging your show and I really enjoy it. I’m not just saying that either. You are very talented and I think what makes you such a great interviewer is that you have been through a lot of shit in your own life. You are able to be direct but you have empathy at the same time. You know when it isn’t appropriate to push anymore. Most journalists don’t have that and I think that is what sets you apart.

So I don’t have much room for new podcasts. I gave Miss Understood a listen initially because I am interested in the Ellen Greenberg case. Then it sat for a while. #nonewfriends, am I right? But THEN..! listened to a few other episodes. I love this whole show. Rachel is smart, authentic, insightful, and makes me rethink everything I *think* I know about people. I’ve heard some of her guests interviewed by others. Rachel’s neutral, nonjudgmental approach is quite disarming-guests actually answer her questions and seem so much less defensive (vs other interviews I’ve heard) that it has actually made me second guess my opinions about those who are..misunderstood. If you want to learn about people and popular media subjects from someone who is not only relatable, but…NOT a moron, give her a listen! Miss Understood has earned a permanent spot in my rotation, and ai even subscribed to the paid membership be I couldn’t get enough. Enjoy!

Rachel asks the questions you want to ask yourself and gets to the point without getting distracted by self-referencing. She doesn’t back down on the awkward subjects and at the same time is warm enough to not alienate her guest. Good job Rachel.
