Sharon Yitzhaky thought she was traveling through South America with her first love. Then he disappeared—and she says she was left carrying suitcases hiding 10 kilos of cocaine.
Arrested in Bolivia, Sharon was sent to a maximum-security women’s prison where she says she was electrocuted in the showers, surrounded by gangs and drugs, raised a baby inside prison, and eventually fell in love with the head of a cartel.
Years later, after learning she was facing a 17-year sentence, Sharon says she had just 48 hours to disappear—leading to false passports, an escape across countries, and one of the hardest decisions of her life.
